Seed Stewards

Through our Seed Stewards program, we create spaces for our communities to come together, share stories of food and seeds, and deepen our cultural understandings.

Our Seed Stewards program takes place through our online network and in-person events. Through our quarterly potlucks, cook-alongs, and virtual and in-person farm tours, we share tools and resources to learn every aspect of growing a crop from seed sowing to seed cleaning to culturally relevant culinary preparations. Community partners like growers, chefs, storytellers, elders, and young ones are welcome at these events to collectively remember the place these crops have in our histories and imagine how they can continue to guide us into the future.
